Description

As architects when we design buildings or a set of buildings, it is important to not only understand the site on which we build, but also the complexities of which the architectural intervention are a part of.
It becomes imperative to understand the components of the city of which the site is a part of. In doing so we are equiped to take informed decisions and design in total harmony with the systems of which we are a part of.

The book is a result of on-site and off site work done over the last 3 decades by the Author. The sketches, images, diagrams, photographs, maps and plans are the compilation of studies and my interaction over the "Theory of Settlements".

The book will form a useful resource for study of settlements and would be of interest to students and the fraternity at large.
